Four Corner Network’s founders are among a pioneering group of Prepaid industry game changers and thought leaders. They are known for the creative ways they have found to evolve prepaid Visa and MasterCard Gift Cards into prepaid cards designed for new purposes including payroll, business expenses, student disbursements, health and wellness programs and more. Many of these purposes have resulted in a direct, positive impact on the lives of card users.

Founder, Chairman and CEO
Dwayne Jones leads Four Corner Network with entrepreneurial knowhow as well as over two decades of financial technology and prepaid payment industry leadership with Visa and MasterCard. As CEO of The Best Present Company (subsequently Springbok Services), which he founded in 1999, Dwayne guided the company into becoming a full-service prepaid processor and fulfillment company servicing over 7000 b2b program relationships. Dwayne and a handful of other pioneers essentially created a new industry through their work to establish the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (www.NBPCA.com), of which he served as a board officer and NBPCA Secretary in 2007-9. Dwayne has been instrumental in innovating many of the products, services and programs that have gone on to become mainstays of the industry today. In addition to his corporate roles, Dwayne serves as Executive Chairman and Chief Visionary Officer of Four Corner Networks’ three subsidiary companies. Dwayne received a BA in Journalism and Political Science from Pepperdine University and was a Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute (AFI).
Director and Advisor
Taylor has been leading financial and technology companies for over 20 years. Taylor’s CEO and executive leadership career has centered on bringing innovative technology products to market while instituting the right financial operations, human capital, culture, process, and system infrastructure to accelerate profitable business growth. He was instrumental in the formation and the development of the prepaid card industry. At Springbok he led the development of its prepaid processor platform, card production center, and innovative products that served over 7,000 small businesses as well as 225 of the Fortune 500. As CEO, he led the company’s growth from $3 million in revenue to over $13 million in less than three years following institutional funding.
At Welltok, Taylor led operations, finance and human resources, building the infrastructure and establishing the processes to support this $100 million data-driven SaaS company focused on health and wellness. Most recently Taylor founded TopYa! which is transforming how youth athletes learn and engage in their own development. The company was acquired in 2018 by Challenger Sports and Taylor serves as the Chief Innovation Officer for the combined portfolio of companies. Taylor received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Pepperdine University and his MBA from UCLA in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Founder and COO
Sherry Chesmore is a payments technology executive with more than 15 years of experience in payments. She has held executive positions in operations and technology with payments processors, program managers and card production companies.
Sherry joined the founders of Springbok Services in 2006 and managed the technology and operations teams that built an issuing payments processor and card production operation supporting both Visa and MasterCard programs. She created and managed technical solutions supporting payment card programs for diverse clients, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Mercedes, and Kia Motors.
Over the course of her career, Sherry has directed technical integrations with multiple banks and third-party payments processors; including FIS, FSV, First Data, Fiserv, and TSYS.
In 2016 Sherry founded QRails and built a Visa and Mastercard issuing payments processor. The processor was built and PCI-DSS certified within one year, and quickly expanded from the US to Europe. Sherry managed the technical integrations to several banks and clients and grew the company to nearly 30 employees in Denver and London.
Sherry has a degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
Chief Financial Officer
Steve has over 25 years of experience in finance & accounting, strategy, financial operations and organizational effectiveness. Most recently a consulting CFO for Escalon, Steve was Vice President of Finance at Ellie Mae and Silicon Image. Prior to Silicon Image, Steve was Head of Finance for SC Investments Consulting LLC, an angel investment and consulting company focused on burgeoning startups. Steve has also served as Corporate Controller for several public and privately held companies and has extensive experience in operational accounting and financial matters companies of various development stages face regularly. Steve graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Accounting.

John W. James III
Founder and CEO, Four Corner Payments
John’s background includes nearly 30 years of creating and selling solutions that motivate people and move products. A pioneering payments industry business-builder, John has developed patented prepaid that help clients manage payment products and established himself as a sales leader through innovative prepaid program creation. He has also shaped the way prepaid is used to help organizations meet their business objectives. His extensive career has included creating programs focused on improving human performance for several of the world’s largest companies. John received his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications from Pepperdine University.
CEO John James has 35-year career managing companies focused on solutions that move products and motivate people, including 15 years in payments. In addition to his leadership of Four Corner Payments, John is a Co-Founder and Director of Four Corner Network
Eric La Brecque
Founder and CEO, VillageUp
A veteran brand-builder, Eric brings a strategic market perspective to his leadership of VillageUp. Skilled at introducing disruptive technologies and platforms to market, for more than 25 years Eric and his teams have helped organizations enter new markets and categories, increase their perceived value, compete more effectively, manage and grow their brand assets, and address technology, cultural and social change.
A significant amount of Eric’s career has also been dedicated to building strong, healthy communities through tourism and economic brand development. This includes ongoing efforts that have contributed to the economic turnaround in Detroit and the changing public perceptions that have accompanied it. Eric is excited by the promise of VillageUp to marry responsible technology with inclusive community engagement to measurably increase the quality of life.
Founder and CEO, C Money
Paul Bryant, a practicing attorney since 1986, has provided legal services to the prepaid industry since its inception nearly 20 years ago. During this time, he has drafted definitive, cutting edge agreements for key industry players. Possessing a deep appreciation for the ever-changing regulations governing Prepaid, he has developed many of the legal concepts and frameworks that have served as the industry’s underpinnings. His private practice also includes the representation of California businesses looking to navigate and comply with the complex laws governing cannabis commercialization. Awarded a B.A. from UCLA and a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Paul has practiced law continuously for over 25 years.
